Mr. Bill Strausbaugh, MSA

Lecturer

  • MSA, Wake Forest University
  • BSBA (Accounting & Finance), Appalachian State University

Growing up in North Carolina, I took my first accounting course in sophomore year of high school, and knew immediately I wanted to pursue it for my career. I continued my accounting education at Appalachian State University starting in 2009, graduating in winter 2012 with undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance.
I decided to continue my education with a Master's of Accountancy at Wake Forest University. Upon graduation, I entered Fifth Third Securities in Charlotte, working in their M&A and Bond Capital Markets teams for the next six years.
In 2020, I decided to challenge myself further by moving to Japan, and lived in both Osaka and Tokyo. I studied the language and business culture for two years, before working in recruiting and real estate investing positions.
In the end, I decided to move back to Boone, completing the so-called "Boonerang."
Now, I am excited to teach students what I learned here at Appalachian State, as it was key to getting my career started on the right foot.
