Lynn Stallworth is a Professor of Accounting at Appalachian State University, where she has taught financial accounting and reporting since 2006. An award-winning case writer, she has published in Managerial Auditing Journal, Issues in Accounting Education, and The CPA Journal. One of her instructional cases earned the American Taxation Association/Deloitte Teaching Innovation Award in 2015. Her research interests include pedagogy, behavioral issues in accounting, earnings management, and sustainability reporting. Dr. Stallworth is co-author of the forthcoming textbook Sustainability Accounting for Business: Measurement, Reporting, and Decision-Making (Wiley). She has held visiting professorships at the University of Angers in France and the University of Duisburg in Germany, where she has lectured on corporate, international, and sustainability accounting. Outside of academia, she is active in community service, including chairing the Daniel Boone Native Garden’s Roots in the Garden Summer Concert Series. She enjoys live music, traveling, and spending time with her sons in the mountains and at the lake.
